Mechanical Cuckoo Clock

A mechanical cuckoo clock built from scratch, powered entirely by falling weights. We laser-cut the gears, CNC-routed the wooden base, 3D printed face and built the rest from brass, sheet metal, aluminum tubing, wood, and acrylic. The sound comes from a handmade kalimba, so the whole thing works without microcontrollers or servos — just weight, movement, and a lot of careful tuning.
